Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 7:29AM FYI the City of Duncan, in consultation with Island Health, has issued a precautionary Boil Water Advisory for all residents and businesses connected to the water distribution system. Water users are advised to boil all tap water for at least 1 minute before drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth.
This includes some adjacent Municipality of North Cowichan locations including the Cowichan District Hospital and the new urgent and primary care facility. Note safe water measures are in place for all Island Health facilities.

Stay safe all!

Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 7:46AM 11:30 am until 1:00 pm
Gather at Forbes Hall for a very Thetis Island lunch...
Menu:
Creamy Vegetarian Tortilla Soup
Toppings include – tortillas, sour cream, cheddar
Cornbread
Assorted Treats
Coffee & Teas
Suggested donation of $7 for soup, bread, treats and teas & coffee.
Soup’s On is entirely carried out by volunteers and, as one of the tasks is the program’s accounting, please do not pay with coins smaller than Loonies and Toonies. As all change must be counted and rolled.
For those who find large groups challenging, enjoy your lunch in this week’s designated quiet room, the Boardroom.
Everyone is welcome to join us, seniors, seniors who don’t think they’re seniors, workers, families, and everyone who just wants a mid-day meal!
Menu remainders for take-out when available. Soup’s On also supports the Thetis Island Food Pantry.
Coupon Booklets of 10 for your convenience, $70.00

Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 12:21PM This past weekend the parts to the Kitchen Aid processor at Forbes Hall were returned. Thank you to whoever found them and returned them. Please note that two other equipment attachments not associated with the processor are in a bag within the Kitchen Aid bag. We’ll leave them with the attachments for you to come and take home.
Still missing - the large CAMBRO translucent food storage tub (no lid, because we have the lid). I believe it’s an 8-quart size.
Large rectangular platter - perhaps it got broken and we weren’t informed?
Also, no propane tanks as of yet. Please return.
Thanks

Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 12:20PM On Saturday at the Christmas Market, I purchased 10 Christmas Cards of a drawing done by Livia. I got home and they were nowhere to be seen. I wonder if I may have put them down somewhere? No idea. If someone happen to see them or put them in a safe place, please let me know, and I will continue to sleuth. They say “Livia Grade 5” on the back.
Thank you and fingers crossed,
Michelle Black
