Friday, December 6, 2019 at 7:02AM It's come to my attention that there was a broken link on the Community page of thetisisland.net, left over from an earlier incarnation, so that people couldn't find the Community Association Constitution and Bylaws.
My apologies - please, if you find a link that doesn't work on any of the websites, let the webmaster know. There is a "Contact" link on all these websites that will get you to the person who manages that site.
In the case of the TICA site, the information is undoubtedly still available, but it has been moved and I've forgotten to change all the links on all the pages where they might occur.
And in case this particular broken link has been a problem for you, these documents are now to be found at
http://www.thetisisland.net/tica/office.html
Apologies again
Veronica

Friday, December 6, 2019 at 6:55AM Dear Islanders,
For any of you who wish to tour the Forbes Hall construction site and have missed previous tours, please join me this Saturday, December 7th @ 11am.
I won't beat around the bush...many are anxious of the outcome of the TICA members vote on December 8th. I encourage you all to come and see where the project is at and what you’ll essentially be voting for. Explore the inside of the original Forbes Hall with the new layout framed. The rafters over the new kitchen and existing library were just installed this week! Haven't forgotten the day you were left off the ferry due to many concrete trucks for the hall? Come see the walls that were poured that day for the new assembly hall. You may find yourself shocked with what the present-day building code requires.
Please park on Mission Rd and convene in the tennis court. The tour will start from there.
All islanders welcome. Pre-booking is not required; however, if you plan to attend, I'd appreciate a quick email, phone call or text.
Please wear suitable footwear…high heels or slippers are not advised : )
Hope to see many of you fellow neighbours on Saturday.

Friday, December 6, 2019 at 6:53AM Has anyone had any experience with spray foam insulation and can refer a good company to do the work?

Friday, December 6, 2019 at 6:51AM Hello everyone!
On Saturday the 30th, during the bazaar, I picked up a lot of garbage that was left on North Cove Road. At least it has been a few months since I last saw garbage on the street.
I know that there have been notices about this happening on Cufra Road and Clam Bay Road. I would like to communicate their needs with anyone that does this, to see if they might end the habit.
So by chance, if anyone may know which vehicle(s) are doing this or whoever in particular it is, could you email me any information so I can ask them what they need in order for their garbage to no longer affect our environment.
Here is my email- rpsylvester22@gmail.com
Thank you

Friday, December 6, 2019 at 6:47AM Once again , SOAS would like to thank this wonderful community for its support. At the bazaar, a further $1,500 was raised, which puts us half-way to funding another 100,000 litre water storage tank. We so appreciate your generosity. THANK YOU.
Maureen,
on behalf of SOAS.

Friday, December 6, 2019 at 6:45AM It was three weeks before Christmas and all through The Portal
Vendors were jolly and very resourceful
Marylyn made "cinnies", and coffee from Nan
Made everyone happy that they had come to this land
The fire was on and warming the place
While people sat and enjoyed talking face to face
Such generous people to open this place
To let us all celebrate
So thanks to all who worked so hard
To let us come together from near and far.
Merry Christmas to all
And to all a good night
Helen and Gloria

Note: Soup du jour will be serving up soup again on Wednesday December 11th 11:30 to 1:30 or until the soup is gone.
We are asking someone to bake us some goodies ??? And if you like to give us a hand at dishwashing we will serve you a free lunch. Please and Thank-you.
For either request you can contact Gloria 250-246-3091 or Helen 250-246-2469
