We are Gil LeBlanc and Tracey Geerlinks from Ontario. We are planning on getting married early in 2019 and attending Capernwray Harbour Bible Centre in September 2019. Both of us are in our 50’s and have lost our spouses in the last 4 years.
We are looking to rent accommodations for the 2019/20 school year on Thetis Island and hoping to find a place.

To assist staff at the solid waste depot , please follow drop off and parking guidelines.
Please park outside the yard on the road, once you have dropped off your materials or if you are not dropping anything.
CVRD staff will be on site to provide you with information.

Monday, July 23, 2018 at 10:16AM Anchorages Concern Thetis: Presentation at the Nature House on Wednesday July 25 from 7 - 8 PM
Several members of the group will be reporting on activities between August 2017 (last presentation) and July 2018. They will be sharing new information on the problem of commercial vessel anchorages in Thetis Island waters, the increase of interest in this problem in the Southern Gulf Islands (SGI), and new National activities.
A petition aiming to eliminate these anchorages in SGI waters will also be presented. All Thetis Island residents, representatives of the local Islands Trust and members of the Saltair opposing group are invited to attend.
MP Alistair MacGregor has accepted the invitation. A donation can be made to the Nature House.

With sadness we announce the passing of Paul LeGallais on July 17, 2018. Paul and his wife Liz retired to their home on Forbes Road 25 years ago. He spent his final few days in the Cowichan District Hospital in Duncan. His family will host a celebration of Paul’s life at the Thetis Island Community Centre on August 19 from 1-4pm

Friday, July 20, 2018 at 11:11PM This Saturday, July 21st at the Nature House: Bird Conservation! Do you love birds?
At 1 PM we will discuss the threats to birds in BC and what can be done in our own backyards to help including citizen science, organic gardening, birdbaths and bird feeders. Everyone will be welcome to make their own bird feeders using seeds, fruit, peanut butter, recycled plastic and materials from the garden (great for kids!).
Around 2 PM we will learn how to identify local birds, talk about birdwatching using new technology and go for a walk through the forest at the Portal to see what we can find!
By donation of $5 per individual, $10 per family, or free for Friends of the Nature House.

Friday, July 20, 2018 at 11:06PM In an effort to reduce the scraping noise, we are planning to put tennis balls on the chair and table legs in the class room.
Do you have any tennis balls in good-fair shape (no dog toys please) that you no longer need ?
Or maybe you know a source we could contact ?
At a minimum we would need 56, just to cover the chairs. Thank you so much !
