Invasive Species Alert ~ European Wall Lizard

We have one native lizard here; the alligator lizard.  (We also have several salamander species, including the Rough Skinned Newt). 

But we need to know if the invasive European Wall Lizard from central Italy has made it to Thetis.  Keep your eyes out for them and report any sightings.

Looking for Newspaper Photo of TIVFD

I wasn’t able to leave Thetis last week to pick up a local newspaper with the Cowichan Valley fire departments spread in it for Fire Prevention Week.  

If you have a paper with our TIVFD photo in it and you aren’t wrapping fish, we would appreciate the copy.  

Just leave it in the mail drop box for us.

Thetis Island Marina Closed - Oct. 18

Due to the scheduled power outage on Thursday October 18th, we will be closed until the power comes back on.

Once the power comes on we will resume normal hours with the fuel dock closing at 6pm, kitchen closing at 7pm and pub & liquor store closing at 8pm.
