Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 4:13PM When we moved to Thetis Island from Victoria in 1998 we were looking for “community”, you know… a place where everybody and everything is connected. You’re a part of an interesting fabric of ideas, people and special places. One of those special places in our community is Forbes Hall.
I like to fix things and build stuff… so the fit with my skills and the need to maintain the Hall was natural. Reflecting on this I find that I can think of no better place to put my energy over the years. The Hall has always been a place memories are made. Celebrations of lives lived and little ones newly arrived, a place where gifts are shared, in so many ways, and more often than not with a plate of great food!
How often are you able to contribute to something so close to home that touches and improves the lives of so many people. I have given countless hours to Forbes Hall over the last 20 years and am so pleased to do so. I look forward to many years of Forbes Hall gifting everyone back.

Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 3:57PM We want to rent a small (1or 2 ton) dump truck, with or without driver, for work at our property on Plateau Rd. Duration probably would be 4 to 8 hours. This weekend would be great but otherwise at mutually convenient time.
Tractor mechanic wanted for repairs to Kubota tractor.
