Today Saturday the 1st of September is our final Bake Sale at Dunfield Park.

The Thetis Island Blanket, available for order from a sample at the market. This blanket is made from sweatshirt fleece sporting an embroidered Thetis Island logo.

It’s also a good opportunity to stock up on postcards & bookmarks with images by local photographers. 

All of these items are being sold to raise funds for the exciting Forbes Hall Expansion.

Kempe Family Farewell - Thurs, Sept 6 @ 7:00 pm

Join us in honouring the Kempe Family (Ralf, Ruth, Anna & Timothy) for the years of sacrificial service & wonderful friendship they have poured into the communities of Capernwray Harbour and Thetis Island.  You're invited for a time of dessert, tea & coffee, visiting and passing along your well wishes to the Kempe family as they move from Thetis Island onto the big island across the water.

CVRD Recycling & Waste Management

For those who missed visiting with CVRD at the Recycle yard, there are other meetings.  These will be directed to the communities were the meeting are held.  They will not focus on Thetis concerns and may not address them.  

The draft Solid Waste Management Plan, containing the full set of proposed strategies, will be online for review and comment for three weeks, from August 24, 2018 to September 14, 2018. An online survey will also be available. Visit www.placespeak.com/swmp for more information. Open houses are scheduled for the following dates and times. If you have any questions regarding the Plan amendment, please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned.
