Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 10:04AM Free 23.5’ Fibreform Boat
We are moving and have 6 boats that we have to deal with. That is why this one is free.
It is a project, but it's a good project!
It is a 23.5 foot fibreform boat with an amazing solid hull. Used to have an inboard/outboard on it and could still be if you wanted that. The back is plugged and ready for your pod. Inside needs work, but very easy to work on. Lots of room. You can finish it anyway you want. It does not come with a motor or a trailer.
We will deliver on Thetis Island and can put it onto your trailer or lend you boat stands for you to put safely on blocks.

Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 10:03AM In a split-second of inattention, I copied over the file for the homepage of thetisisland.net. I did have an earlier version saved to another disk, but I have been trying to update it from memory. If anyone or any committee on the island had a link up there, would you please check that it's still there, and if not, let me know? I'll get it back up immediately. Thanks!

46 Harbour Road
Have you Seen our Pub Cat "Sweet Pea"?
Our Mama cat "Sweet Pea" has been away from the pub
for about a week now and we are hoping that someone has seen her out and about and can bring her home to us .
She is about two years old, and has long silvery grey hair with white accents; she loves attention.
Her two kittens miss her very much, as do we all here at the marina.
Thank you all for helping with our search!

Beginning at 12:45pm there will be a short school program of awards and acknowledgements of our elementary students, staff and school champions, and a small piano recital with a few of Lynn Hunter’s students.
This will be followed by the Strawberry Tea.
The Strawberry Tea (hosted by TICA cafe) is $5 for angel food cake with strawberries, whip cream and special strawberry sauce with coffee, tea or lemonade.
All proceeds support our community centre.
We look forward to celebrating with you.

Monday, June 25, 2018 at 12:10PM The July 1st Sail Past, initiated by Don and Gwen Hunter years ago, began as a parade on the water. Decorate your boats and cruise around Penelakut and Thetis.
This year we’re going to change things up a little. In memory of Gwen, lets return to how the Sail Past used to be… and give the fish a break from balloons lost at sea. Please NO BALLOONS in boats this year. We can have a balloon war at Don’s beach where debris can be picked up and disposed of responsibly. If you have a balloon launcher you’ve been looking forward to using, bring it to the beach and we can have a launcher competition!
1:30pm: Depart from Thetis Island Marina. Sail/cruise up the east side of Thetis, back down the west side. Reconvene at Don Hunter’s beach for dinner and music.
Bring whatever food you wish to eat. BBQ’s will be available to cook with. We will also have a propane campfire. No wood-burning campfire will be permitted. Donations toward propane costs would be appreciated.
Please respect Don’s property and those who are organizing the event by taking all garbage and recyclables home with you. Come enjoy a fun evening on the beach with live music and celebrate this great country we live in!
