Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 10:51PM If you haven't already done so, please bring in any glass or prism yard ornaments you may have...glass bird baths, wind chimes, vases, etc etc. People often overlook this and under the wrong conditions, curved glass could potentially act as a concentrator for the sun's rays and start a fire. Also remove your reading glasses from sunny windowsills...there have been several instances of scorched wood from these.

Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 10:50PM My aunt's favourite navy blue cardigan was accidentally left behind at Saturday market day at Marylyn's.
If anyone accidentally ended up with it please call Glenda (250)416-0638
Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 10:48PM To the individual who has been racing their Sea-doo at full throttle, into and out of Cufra Inlet, would you please refrain from doing this.
Cufra Inlet is a sensitive marine ecosystem. The Inlet is also used for swimming, and recreation by families.
In addition the wake created by your speed impacts the shoreline banks, adding to erosion. So, you sea (see) there are a litany of good reasons to not speed; safety, environmental, courtesy and being a responsible marine vehicle operator. If you need to explore Cufra Inlet in your Sea-doo, please adhere to a no-wake, slow speed, preferably five knots or less. The alternative, if you must speed, use the open ocean....with courtesy and common sense. Thanks! OBO, the residents of Cufra Inlet PH#250-246-2099
NOTE: At the speed you were going, if someone were in the water, in your vicinity, it would have been quite difficult to see them, which would have been very unfortunate for the swimmer and you.
