Huge thank you from TICA to community contractors and others
The Thetis Island Community Association executive board would like to express appreciation for significant volunteer contributions from local contractors for recent upgrades to the parking area and vehicle access to Forbes Hall.
Thanks in particular Sjoe van Kleef of Thetis Island Property Services. Many hours of man and machine time were donated by Dave Knowles, Ralf Kempe (Capernwray), Ian Ralston (Trax Developments), Art Hunter (Generation 4 Contracting), Jean Essminger, Joe Knowles, Steve Howard and myself.
It’s safe to say that this project would not have proceeded without this generous collaborative effort!
Sincerely,
Ron Bannister, project coordinator

Happy Summer everyone. The ThINC board
What an amazing community! In a few short weeks $28,000 of $40,000 has been raised and matched to boost our campaign to protect Fairyslipper Forest. The donor and landowners have agreed to extend the matching period to July 31 for the remaining $12,000 that will get us to half way. To make a donation or pledge today to help create Thetis Island's first publicly accessible nature reserve, contact ThINC@thetisisland.net or call 250-246-9965.
The ThINC board sends out a huge note of gratitude to all donors and pledgers.

I just sailed onto the island and my outboard needs repairs, so I'm looking for random labour work like landscaping or chopping wood. I've also been a drywall taper for a number of years. Any work of any kind helps. call/text/message

This peacock has been using the ferry dock as his home for several weeks now. He seems lonely, probably doesn't even know that there are two peahens without a fellow on Penelakut. Please be careful when driving next to him, as he tends to monitor the traffic very closely. Does anyone know to whom he belongs, if in fact he has an owner?

Puff returned home safely about 3 this morning.
Thank you very much to all the folks who kept an eye out for her and to those who called with ideas and good wishes.
