Fire Extinguisher Clinic ~ June 26th

This Sunday, 2 p.m., at the Fire Hall...the Extinguisher Clinic is back!

Bring your home extinguishers for a free inspection. Practice your extinguisher skill on a real fire. Purchase an extinguisher for your home, workshop, boat or vehicle.

You will also be able to order a reflective Lot Number sign for your driveway that meets the Improvement District regulations.

There will be a draw for a door prize. This Sunday only, at 2 pm.

Ocean Learn Fest is just around the corner! ThINC is thrilled to offer a week of fun activities for the whole community including:

July 7th: The Joy of Birdsong with ornithologist James Clowater Talk and audio-visual show

Strawberry Tea ~ Wednesday, June 22nd ~ 1PM

The Thetis Island Parents' Association (TIPA) and TICA cafe cordially invite community members to our end of year school celebration and Strawberry Tea on Wed, June 22 at 1pm, at Forbes Hall. Beginning at 1pm there will be a short school program of awards and acknowledgements of our elementary students, staff and school champions, and a small student art display. This will be followed by the Strawberry Tea with live musical accompaniment courtesy of some of our young piano students who are taking lessons from Lynn Hunter.

The Strawberry Tea (hosted by TICA cafe) is $5 for angel food cake with strawberries, whip cream and special strawberry sauce (!) with coffee, tea or lemonade. All proceeds support our community centre. We look forward to celebrating with you.

Canada Day ~ boating & water balloons

Hello All It's on again! Come join us for some fun in the sun with our annual water balloon fight!

The frolicking leaves Thetis Island Marina at approx 1:30 Friday July 1st. And with the good graces of Don Hunter there will be a groovy little after party at Hunter's beach (Thanx Don!) So fill your balloons and come throw a few for Gwen! 😊

For the after soiree,we are encouraging folks to bring things for the bbq...and any other finger foods that they wish. We would like this to be a fun and simple affair. Any donations for the small things like plates,napkins and toilet paper,would be greatly appreciated! And to all you musicians out there that plan to attend.please bring your instruments!

Wanted to Rent: Furniture

My daughter Kate is getting married at Overbury on Sat July 16th. She asked me to try and source out some special seating for her big day. What she would like is a settee/sofa/love seat and/or armchairs for an outdoor grouping. Something with old world charm would be perfect.  Can email sample photo. Willing to pay reasonable amount for rental. Will pick up either Friday night or Early Sat morning and return on Sunday.  Many thanks for any help

Free Stove

We have a light almond colour stove which will be available later in the week for anyone that might be interested. All elements on the stove are fully functioning and oven works, all in good working order. However, the oven light fixture no longer works for some reason and one of the knobs on the stove is broken but is still usable for turning on the element.
