Pollinator and Perennial Starts for Sale

There are still a few pollinator and perennial starts available for late spring planting:

Figwort: a prolific and fascinating perennial you may have seen at the PAG or in our bouquets. Its flowers are tiny cups that smell like peanuts, and the pollinators go absolutely wild for them. Likes full sun to part shade and can tolerate wet soils. Available in 4” ($7) and gallon pots ($15)

Kaleidoscopic Grex Kale:

Dreams can come true, a perennial kale that comes back year after year! Tall striking plants with variegated leaves. Edible at all stages: early leaves in salad, later season leaves cooked or as wraps, and of course the broccoli-like flower shoots. Available in 4” pots ($7)

Email aimee.vand@gmail.com to order.

Thanks!

Aimee

ThINC Announcement: Meet Our Amazing Summer Team!

Hello Thetis Islanders,

We’re thrilled to announce that ThINC has hired two wonderful individuals to support our spring and summer programs!

Amelia Marshall joined us this week and has already jumped into our community science initiatives and lent a hand with chipping for the People's Apothecary Garden. She’ll also be helping with preparations for this summer’s Nature House program.

In July, we’ll be welcoming Iliana Cutten, who will be helping to bring the Nature House back to life. After last year’s break, we’re looking forward to a summer full of energy, learning, and connection.

Keep an eye out over the next couple of months for updates on our summer programming and the occasional pre-season activity. And if you see Amelia out and about, don’t hesitate to say hello - she’s eager to meet the community!

Wishing you all a joyful start to the season and hoping you're enjoying this beautiful spring weather.

Warm regards,

Charlotte,

ThINC Stewardship and Education Coordinator
