Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 9:41AM For sale: 2022 MacBook Air in excellent condition
(Reposted to correct an error — it’s a 2022 model, not 2002!)
A great opportunity to get a recent MacBook Air, used but in more or less perfect condition. Will leave this open to Thetis residents for a few days before advertising more widely. Research suggests $950 is a great price for this, so that’s non-negotiatiable. Could deliver on Thetis.
Specifications:
For sale: brand new AirPods 4 (with active noise cancellation)
The box has been opened but they are brand new, unused, and haven’t been near an ear.
These have Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency Mode, Live Translation (!), USB-C and wireless charting: they’re the open-fit (no silicone eartips) ones.
These cost C$249 + tax (i.e. $279) new: they’re yours for $210.
Text or call Adam (Sandell) on (250) 802-2418.
Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 9:42AM 11:30 am until 1:00 pm
Gather at Forbes Hall for a very Thetis Island lunch...
Menu:
Pumpkin Coconut Curry Soup (veg)
Sourdough Seed Bread
Baked Treats
Coffee, Teas, etc.
Suggested donation of $7 for soup, bread, treats and teas & coffee.
Soup’s On is entirely carried out by volunteers and, as one of the tasks is the program’s accounting, please do not pay with coins smaller than loonies and toonies. All change must be counted and rolled, and it’s work that we would like to do less of J
For those who find large groups challenging, enjoy your lunch in our designated quiet room, the Boardroom.
Everyone is welcome to join us, seniors, seniors who don’t think they’re seniors, workers, families, and everyone who just wants a mid-day meal!
Menu remainders for take-out when available.
Soup’s On also supports the Thetis Island Food Pantry.
Coupon Booklets of 10 for your convenience, $70.00

Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 9:42AM Health Talk time change starting 30 minutes earlier
Our speaker Angela needs to catch the 3:10 return ferry tomorrow.
To allow enough time to give her talk and field questions, it is necessary to start earlier.
Apologies for the late notice.
Wednesday October 15th, 1:30 - 3:00 pm
Forbes Hall
Speaker: Angela Eykelbosh, PhD, Environmental Health Scientist, Island Health
As our climate becomes warmer and drier, the increased frequency of droughts and wildfires will have implications for air quality both inside and outside our homes. This session will provide an overview of recent climate projections for Thetis Island and Penelakut and will discuss the implications for respiratory health. We will discuss some practical options for reducing exposure to particulate matter, using tools such as low-cost sensors, air cleaners (including DIY air cleaners), and clean wood burning practices.
A presentation of the Forbes Hall Health Services Group. For more information please contact:
