Thanks to Stephanie for a good campaign and I wish her all the best in her future plans.

Congratulations to Peter for winning another term. His long years of experience will make my task of understanding the Trust much easier. I look forward to working with him.

You can reach me by email at davincii@telus.net or by phone at 250 246-9909. Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to serve you in this capacity.

Thank You Thetis Island

Thank you to the candidates for a pleasant campaign period.

Thank you to everyone that came out to vote. There was a record turn out I believe at 202 people on Thetis voting and perhaps as many as a dozen off island or through mail in ballots. I am proud that my community actively participates in our democratic process.

Special thanks to all of my supporters and those of you that supported me at the polls.

My email address for the trust will continue to be pluckham@islandstrust.bc.ca and my phone number at home is 250-246-4802.

If you have any questions or concerns about moving forward please contact me. I am planning on continuing to hold open office hours at the hall once the new term gets started as some of you appreciated the opportunity to talk casually about trust matters.

I want to thank Stephanie for running again and wish her luck in her many other endeavors that she will be able to continue with unhindered as a trustee. Congratulations go to Ken and his supporters for a good campaign, I look forward to working with him locally and at the Trust Council table. Thetis Island local trust committee meetings will likely continue to be held on the 3rd or 4th Wednesday of the month at Forbes hall please join us to join in the work of the Local Trust committee. The first Trust Council meeting will be held December 2nd to 5th in Victoria, the swearing in ceremony will be held at 5:00pm on the 2nd of December in Victoria. All Council meetings are open to the public and you are welcome to attend them including the Swearing in Ceremony.

Thank You Thetis Island, Reid Island, Valdes Island, Ruxton Island and the other islets.

Fire Truck Repairs

Our 1999 Engine 1 had to leave the island on Saturday for emergency brake repairs.  It should be back on-island by Tuesday.  In the meantime, our smaller Engine 2 is stationed at Central Hall for the duration, and the water Tender can also double as a fire truck.
