Referendum Thanks

With sincerity I thank the voters of Thetis who made the effort to cast a ballot in the recycle referendum.  In the words of Mel Dory our CVRD director, “a very impressive turnout”.  Typically a referendum like this garners 10% of registered voters, Thetis had over 82% turnout.

Congratulations and thank you.

Donations for Harvest House

A friendly reminder that Thetis Elementary is collecting donations of gently used or new items and money for Cowichan Neighbourhood House Association's "Adopt-A-Family" program and Christmas hamper program. Money donated is used to buy food for the hamper program at wholesale or large discounted prices and cheques should be made out to Cowichan Neighbourhood House Association.
Donations can be dropped off at the school until 2:30 pm on Monday Dec 16th or through Kelly Bannister (Box 12-9 or 250-236-9753 orkelly_bannister@telus.net)
Donations after that date can still be made directly to Cowichan Neighbourhood House. On behalf of our school, thanks so much to everyone who has donated so far, our community will be making a difference in the lives of our neighbours this Christmas!

Lost Coat

I came to the Ferry meeting in a dark blue down jacket with a fur trimmed hood , but it was missing, not hung up where I left it , I wondered if anyone took it home by accident...
Call 246-2276 Mary Forbes, if you find it,
Thank you

Note from ed:  there is a lovely woman's black coat that has been hanging in the entry hall since the ferry meeting.  Perhaps it belongs to the woman who took Mary's in error?
