Babysitter Required ~ June 20 & 21

A couple from Mexico who are attending a wedding at Overbury on the weekend of June 21st are looking for a babysitter for their 2 year old daughter.

The couple are staying at Overbury.  They would like a babysitter from 1:00 pm to 1:00 am perhaps earlier but not later. They would also be interested in hiring the babysitter for a few hours on Friday night as well.

Sludge in Preedy Harbour ~ May 19th

Does anyone know what was floating in the water-going in and out with the tide last week? It looked like a sludge of some kind and filled the whole bay near us. I would not have stepped near the water. Any insight would be appreciated.

Lost Necklace and Earring

I lost one large gold hoop earring and a beautiful dragonfly necklace on Tuesday, May 13th. Possibly they dropped out of my pocket on the last sailing that night. Both are high sentimental value and I would be so grateful to have them returned if they are found.

Green Cone Digesters

If you are interested in buying a green cone digester, they are available from the Greater Victoria Compost Education Centre for $148. I will be obtaining a membership so that I can get them for this price. They are regularly $165. You would need to get your cheque or cash to me by Tuesday May 20 if you want me to pick you up one. Phone me, Don, if interested at 250-246-4291.

Alternatively, there will be a sale of these digesters on Sat June 7th at Elk and Beaver Lake from 10 - 2 for a reduced price. You would have to pick them up yourself as there may be limit as to how many one person can buy. Last year, they sold for $95. Check the Greater Victoria Compost Education website for further information on this sale or phone them at 250-386-9676 Wed - Sat from 10 - 4pm. Currently, they do not know what the price will be.
