New Ferry Schedule "Sticky" for the Back of the Phone Book

We can get the new schedule printed on label type sheets so that you can apply it over the back page of your phone book. However, BC Ferries isn't paying for it this time, so the cost would be $1 per sticky. That price assumes we would print 200 of them, and probably not sell all. TIRRA would swallow the likely difference between what we collected and what we sold. If we print fewer, the price wouldn't be noticeably less. So I am calling for feedback - how many people are interested in buying the new schedule for their phone books?

Please let me know at veronicashelford@gmail.com or 250-701-9336.

If enough people respond, we'll go ahead with it.

Thanks!

Jollity is looking for Missing Farming Books

Over the years we have built up a pretty great library of farming books and during a recent assessment of our shelves we've discovered many of our favourites are missing. We like to make all these books available to our wwoofers as part of their farm education when working with us.

We have probably lent out various books and have forgotten where they might be. If you happen to have borrowed any of these and still have them, could you let us know please.

Here are the titles of what we are missing:
Growing Great Garlic by Ron Engeland
The Market Gardener by Jean-Martin Fortier
Regenerative Agriculture by Richard Perkins (this is a hefty manual)
Gaia's Garden by Toby Hemenway
Carrots love Tomatoes by Louise Riotte
The Small Scale Poultry Flock by Harvey Ussery and Joel Salatin
Raising Dairy Goats by Jerry Belanger
Miraculous Abundance by Perrine and Charles Herve-Gruyer

Thank You for the Denim!

We really appreciate your contributions of jeans and jackets for our recycling project.

There is a good pile collected, and we've started to go through and chop up into large patches. We will keep accepting as you have them, as anything left over from the aprons project will get stitched into napkins. It is our eventual goal to get rid of paper napkins at our cafe and just use recycled fabrics.

With appreciation to you all :)

What's Fresh @ Jollity Farm

Open Saturday 10 - 1

What's fresh? Well... not a whole lot! It is the middle of winter, even if it doesn't feel like it, and we still have crops in the ground.

We continue to harvest pac choi, kale, beets, chard, celery, cilantro and cabbage. All the heroes of the winter garden. We will see how the carrots are doing but many of the ones left are quite small now.

Your dairy and bread orders await, and we still have plenty of kombucha on tap.

With thanks,

Jollity Farmers

Free Stuff

We are finally deconstructing our "beautiful" master bathroom which is a lovely shade of pink on the bathroom fixtures.

We have two free mirrors right now 24 x 31 with wooden frames to give away. Would be good for a cabin.
Stay tuned for more freebies as we deconstruct.
