Lost Scarf

I lost a favourite scarf yesterday morning - possibly getting into our truck for the busy 7:45 am sailing. It is blue and green with a fringed edge. If you have found it, please let me know
Thank you!

Hello, all Island prawn fishers.
Just a heads up, there have been numerous reports that traps have been raided early this season. Ours included.
Either this is a poor season, or there is truth to be told. One vessel in particular, a 24-28 white SEASWIRL STRIPER, cuddy cabin, hard top, was witnessed hauling gear, on an electric puller, that was not theirs. Last seen docked in Chemainus. There are, hopefully, plenty for all.
The DFO have been notified.
Thanks for reading.

Dear Island Friends,
It is coming to that time of year where the Capernwray Harbour students will be departing after their year of study. We wanted to make sure you were all informed ahead of time as to which sailings will have extra traffic volume, both cars and walk on.
Wednesday, April 16, 2025:
approximately 140 guests Chemainus to Thetis - 12:35pm (possibly some on the 2:15pm)
Thetis to Chemainus - 8:05pm or 10:35pm
Thursday, April 17, 2025:
90 students (primarily walk on) - Thetis to Chemainus - sailings scattered between 5:45am*, 7:45am or 9:00am *higher volume
Please let us know if you have any questions, and we do apologize if this causes any inconvenience.

Hello Thetis Islanders,
The Pollinator Garden is gearing up for its new life as an outdoor classroom, and as part of this shift, we’re turning up the focus on the People’s Apothecary Garden (PAG)! This space is all about celebrating medicinal plants, gardening tips and tricks, and, of course, supporting our buzzing pollinator friends.
To kick off the season, we need your help to give the PAG a little TLC and prep it for another flourishing year.
Join us this Sunday, April 13th at 2:00 pm (Lot 62 - please park along the road or at Forbes Hall) as we roll up our sleeves, pull a few weeds (goodbye, grasses, buttercup, daphne laurel, and blackberry!), and nourish our beloved plants with a fresh layer of compost.
Bring along: Gardening gloves, trowels, weeders, hand rakes, hori-horis, and/or any other tools you think might come in handy!
After this Sunday, I’ll be hosting regular drop-ins once or twice a week to continue preparing the garden for the season, and I’d be thrilled to have you join as a co-gardener anytime!
Hope to see you in the dirt!
Warmly,
Charlotte - ThINC Education and Stewardship Coordinator
As the Thetis Island Community Association is now debt free, the board is very much looking towards the future. There is a vacancy on the Board for Vice President to be filled as TICA moves forward with ideas and new focus.
The current board members are a very committed group of individuals with varying backgrounds, that work well as a team by listening to all points of view and vigorously discuss issues that relate to TICA’s work. The board would like to have someone join the team who is eager to explore and help direct TICA’s focus over the next few years.
We commonly have one or more board members joining us in a virtual meeting, so part-time residents are welcome, as are those who live on Thetis full time.
Please give TICA and its Forbes Hall Community Centre consideration for both your interest and time.
If you are interested in joining the TICA Board, please contact a Board member:

Would anyone have a pet corral to donate to Quinn for his little dog called Clive? Quinn works at the post office 5 days a week and brings his little dog with him. This would enable Clive to have a little more room to move around in instead of being on leash.
If you have a corral to donate for a good cause please call 778-867-8586.
