Looking for Someone to do a TIVFD Sewing Project

The TIVFD has received five more donated used winter/rain jackets from the Lantzville Fire Department and we are looking for someone with a sewing machine who would be willing to remove the Lantzville shoulder crests and sew on our TIVFD shoulder crests. If you have some time and energy for this project, please let me know.

Thanks!

In Search of Rubbermaid Roughneck Lids

Hello Fellow Thetis Islanders,
I find myself with several Rubbermaid Roughneck totes… but alas, they've lost their tops. I looked into buying replacement lids, but apparently that’s not really a thing - unless there’s some secret underground Roughneck lid trading network I don’t know about.

So, I thought I’d give this a shot: does anyone happen to have any Roughneck lids lying around (approximately 16''x23''), sans totes, that they aren’t using and might be willing to donate?

If so, please get in touch with me at
cfesnoux@gmail.com

Thanks!

Boil Water Advisory for Duncan

FYI the City of Duncan, in consultation with Island Health, has issued a precautionary Boil Water Advisory for all residents and businesses connected to the water distribution system. Water users are advised to boil all tap water for at least 1 minute before drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth.

This includes some adjacent Municipality of North Cowichan locations including the Cowichan District Hospital and the new urgent and primary care facility. Note safe water measures are in place for all Island Health facilities.

For further information go to this link

Stay safe all!

Return of Lost Item

This past weekend the parts to the Kitchen Aid processor at Forbes Hall were returned. Thank you to whoever found them and returned them. Please note that two other equipment attachments not associated with the processor are in a bag within the Kitchen Aid bag. We’ll leave them with the attachments for you to come and take home.

Still missing - the large CAMBRO translucent food storage tub (no lid, because we have the lid). I believe it’s an 8-quart size.
Large rectangular platter - perhaps it got broken and we weren’t informed?

Also, no propane tanks as of yet. Please return.

Thanks
