Anyone who is intrigued by the marvel of this earth we call home and the transformation many astronauts experience deep within when they view earth from hundreds of thousands of miles away… you may enjoy this short video. A thought provoking visual of the intricacies of creation!
If you wish to view the video without ads, you can try this trick… click on the link, once the video starts, hit pause. In the upper url address line, simply add a ‘ - ‘ after the ‘t’ and before the ‘u’ of youtube. Click enter and the video should switch to large screen without ads interrupting it.

My daughter has added some children's toys to her donation. Are you looking for a castle or fort?
Do you happen to have some sheets or towels you are tired of or no longer match your bathroom or bedroom?
My clothing rod in my closet broke the other day so I know I need to get at cleaning out my closet. How about you?
The Spring Fling Clothing Exchange is a great opportunity to clean out your closet, totes or attic and share with others in our community.
Volunteers will be needed to make this all happen.
Donations can be dropped off between 8:30 - 10:30am
9am - 11am -- sort donated items onto the tables
11am - 1pm -- help keep tables organized
1pm - 1:30 -- pack up remaining items for donation to the Thrift Store
Please contact me if you can volunteer for any of these duties. Also, if you have a clothing rack to share that would be great. Maybe some hangers.
Thank you to those that have offered their clothing racks. I am grateful that the Chemainus Thrift Store is changing their clothes hangers and I was able to pick up quite a few.
Thank you to those that have already volunteered.
Still looking for some more volunteers.

Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 12:05PM Evening Campfire Permits will be available for the month of May unless conditions for Category 1 fires change during the month. We will keep you posted on any campfire bans. Please apply on-line for your campfire permit for May with your name, lot number, contact phone, and affirmation that you have read and will comply with the campfire safety regulations. Evening campfires do not require consulting the Venting Index.
We have entered wildfire season early this year. Starting May 1st, please report any outdoor daytime smoke columns to 911. The latest Vancouver Island wildfire was human caused, in Coombs, over the weekend. The forecast for this summer is for hotter and drier conditions than last year.
Thank you for your increased vigilance in the coming months.
