Unconventional Art Class

Dear Neighbors,

My name is Marcia Aftimus and it is a joy for me to be living on this wonderful island (although my home country Brazil also has its beauty).

To introduce myself: I'm an artist, one who would love to expand her audience among creative and curious community members.

I would like to offer some art classes here on the island - all designed for participants of every skill level, including complete beginners!

I call these classes LIFEWORK because I believe that art imitates life, and one cannot live without the other.

Here's a quick overview of what you can expect:

At the beginning of each class, I will talk a little bit about how our class will be and will guide the group through some basic meditation and breathwork (10 minutes) while playing a curated music playlist and serving a cup of tea :)
I will teach various painting techniques, such as: watercolour, acrylic, decoupage, etc.

To learn more about me and my art, you can visit my website:
marciaaftimus.com. I invite you to reach out via email, or come visit me! No obligations either way, but if you have ideas of projects you might like to explore, I'd love to hear them.

My address:
412 Kla How Ya Road - when you see a stone with the number, go straight ahead about 50m, it's just to the right in front of the horse enclosure. Just send me a message before you make your way over, at 250-210-2185.

Some time ago, I lent a favorite book of ours, about the history of the Panama Canal, The Path Between Two Seas, to someone on Thetis?

Jollity Farm Weekly Orders - organizing pick up

Hello there, we hope you are all staying warm and safe through this cold and slippery week.

Due to the way our spring water pops up in various places along our driveway, there are about 3 spots that are about 3" thick sheets of ice. It is very dangerous to attempt, so unless we get rain and warmer temps
before Sat. we will need to organize other ways to get your dairy, baking and farm goodies passed over this week.

We will assess again tomorrow and decide what is best for the weekend. If Sunday ends up clear we could push up to that day, otherwise we can organize to leave orders at the end of the road or at the kiosk (would
mean walking up to it).

No bagels again this week - Sorry but we didn't feel it was safe to cross the Malahat again today! Fingers crossed for next week.

If you have specific requests or suggestions, please reach out by text/phone 250.415.0101 or to info@jollityfarm.ca.
