Volunteers Needed: COVID Clinic – Forbes Hall

TIVFD will no longer be managing immunization clinics on Thetis Island, and they have passed the torch to the Forbes Hall Health Services Group. 

Community volunteers are needed to make the upcoming clinic feasible, and we encourage you to participate in making this important service available to our community. 

We need people to sign in, direct, and inform clients, and to set up and take down the clinic.

Notice: COVID-19 Immunization Clinic – Wednesday, September 7th – Forbes Hall

An all-ages (over 6-mo’s) COVID-19 Immunization Clinic for boosters and initial vaccines will be held at Forbes Hall on Wednesday, September 7^th. 

More detailed information will follow regarding registration, etc.

Family Fun Day ~ Thank You

A big thank you to all you islanders and visitors who attended the Family Fun Day last weekend to support the Thetis Island Community Fund!

Having not hosted this event in four years, we weren’t sure what to expect. We were thrilled with the turnout of roughly 120 people!  

Our sincere thanks to all the volunteers who helped make the event so successful!  

Judging by the smiles, laughter and cheers, the races, games and water closet were all a bit hit!  A more in-depth recap of the Family Fun Day will be coming out in the next edition of the Quarterly. We welcome your feedback from the event to help us improve your experience and we look forward to hosting Family Fun Day again next year!

Lost Wallet

I lost my wallet at the post office on Monday.

It would be really great to get my drivers license, ID, vax card etc back.

Inquiry Regarding Horse Board

We have been living in Sooke as a local free range egg farm for 15 years. Sooke is becoming a little too busy for us and we are ready to move to a smaller community close to Vancouver Island. Thetis island has the community vibe we are looking to become a part of. We have a sweet little paint horse called Sebbie who we would like to bring with us when we move (no we haven’t found a house or listed ours yet). Is there horse board available on Thetis?

Early Morning Fitness

For the month of August there will be no early morning fitness 6:30-7:30 am.

In September I would like to see if anyone would be interested in learning Kundalini yoga in that time slot Mon, Wed, Fri 6:30-7:30 am.
