If you're low on canned goods or can't make it to the store, we're here to make giving easier!
In coordination with the TIVFD, I'll be collecting funds for the Chemainus Food Bank.
No amount is too small or too big :)
Drop me an email and we'll coordinate: coins, cash, checks, gold bullion--it's all good!
AND you still have time to drop off any items for the Food Bank any time before December 16, in the box at the front of the Fire Hall on Mission Road. All non-perishable food items must be unopened and not past the expiry date.
Happy Winter Solstice!! Stay warm and healthy.

Thank you to everyone who visited Forbes Hall Community Center last Saturday to support the local vendors and to have lunch. Many of you stopped to say hello at the TICA Christmas table and purchased one of a kind Christmas ornaments from around the world. A special thanks to Tracy Higgins for her beautiful handmade wreaths which she donated for the sale. TICA merchandise, hats and t-shirts were also popular for those looking to buy a Thetis gift.
At the end of the day, $635.00 worth of goods were sold all in support of our beautiful Forbes Hall Community Centre.
Thank you,
Ellen and Keith Rush

There will be a knitting Bee this Friday 10th 2pm thru 4-30, and it will be the last one until the New Year starting up again on Friday 14th January.
Cheers,
Helen
My daughter Athenia has been hard at work making her Christmas gifts. In an effort to only gift used, upcycled or homemade items, she is looking for anyone with small wooden picture frames they not longer need. About 6"x8" roughly is perfect. Only wooden, or thicker metal frames no plastic. If you have one or some let us know. She has some allowance money to purchase these...

Thank you...
Sorry about this! Somehow, between the proof (which was fine) and the final product, there was what looks like a touch-pad erasure of a line from the article "Destination Thetis". On page 20, the last two lines in the second column are missing the beginning of the sentence. The missing bit is "The IT governance has expanded through the decades..."
I hope that's the only one! But if anyone finds any other anomalies, let me know please, and I'll put out a correction.

I want to publicly thank the volunteers that pulled off an amazing day providing Lunch and Beverages at Forbes Hall. They served over 90 people - who were so happy to be with others in our community hall.
At one point the lunch line went out to the entry, but they kept at it, and got everyone fed, until finally the food was all gone. Fortunately more food was made than thought necessary!
So here’s to you, Theresa Elsie, Petra Accipiter, Shirley Burr, Mary Forbes, and Don Sinclair for your great attitude and making it a very special day! Also, thanks go out to Matt Hess and Bill Dickie for manning the door, and other tasks! You made it look so easy to get back into the swing of things in the new digs.
What a great way for so many to say hello to the holidays!
Huge appreciation for all you do!
Ann Dickie

On Thursday, December 9th, The Thetis Society of the Perplexed (TSOP) will present Cyrus the Great - The First Cameo of Jesus. The presentation is the second in the series of a five series discourse on Jesus and the Foundation of Western Civilization. Members of the public are welcome. Please contact jcerny07@gmail.com for syllabus and/or more information.
You can drop off your items for the Food Bank any time before December 16, in the box at the front of the Fire Hall on Mission Road. All non-perishable food items must be unopened and not past the expiry date.
We are looking for a volunteer to take the donations over to Chemainus on the 16th. Please drop a note to Jeannine. chief11@telus.net if you can.
The local Food Bank in Chemainus also supplies clients in need on Thetis so your donations are very much appreciated.

Please let us know and we'll gather up all your special requests starting early next week.
