Dog Walking on Burchell Trail

Thursday afternoon I was walking my dog on the trail when a frisky dog suddenly appeared on its own. My dog took it as an invitation to play and shot after the dog. As mine was on a lead it did not bode well for me. The lead tore out of my hand, but the force of the tug pulled me to the ground, and I fell hard.  This is the second time that has happened to me on the trail. I am very sore and was quite shaken up at the time.  The owner helped me up and assisted me down the trail, which was very kind of her, but I really don’t want to go through this a third time so please, when walking your dog keep it on a lead. My bones will thank you.
