Economic Development Cowichan (EDC) will host a virtual town hall for Thetis Island residents on Thursday, February 4 at 6.30 pm to explore the last-mile Internet connectivity opportunity presented by Strathcona Regional District (SRD) and City West. We invite all Thetis Island community members to attend.

While we understand that a page has been established regarding the fibre optic initiative for Thetis Island, on the Thetis Blog, due to time constraints we will be unable to monitor any posts there. Furthermore, we encourage you to have your say in real time on the “Discussions” page of PlaceSpeak under the fibre optic initiative topic there. We, as administrators, need to grant you one-time access to this platform – it is open to ALL Thetis Islanders, both full and part-time residents. And, if you are unsure of which email you are connected with, email us, and we will be pleased to confirm.

I found a nice gray aluminum and plastic paddle 4 to 5 ft long on the beach at the community dock.

Indoor Puppy Pen Wanted

Does anyone on the island have an indoor puppy pen that I could borrow for a few months or buy?

Cedar Beach Pizza Feb. 5

Thank you all for your understanding and kind words as I have healed.

Cedar Beach Pizza will resume FEB 5 and 6  (Friday and Saturday).

Garbage left on Private Property

Would the person, or persons, who have placed (and left) 2 beat up chairs, a red cooler filled with water bottles, garbage bags and other "paraphernalia" on Lot 321 please remove them.

Thetis Island Marina Closures

Due to unforeseen circumstances Thetis Island Marina PUB is closed for the next two weeks.  

Our hours of operation have changed. 

The liqour store/general store/ post office/fuel dock will open between Monday to Friday. The pub is closed for 2 weeks.

Kevin will be running the entire show. 

Fuel Dock will be open from 9:30am-1:15pm then from 3:30pm-4:00pm. 

Liquor Store will be open from 9:30am-1:15pm. Then 3:30pm-5pm. 

Post Office will be open from 12:30pm-5pm. 

General store will be open from 9:30am-1:15pm then from 3:30pm-4:00pm.  

Mail will be sorted from 1:15pm-3:30 at this time the store will be locked. 

Hours will be posted on the door. Thank you for your cooperation and your patience at this time. We will continue to update our customers as the situation develops.
