Celebration of Life Postponed

Edith Hyatt was laid to rest in St. Margaret’s cemetery on Sunday, June 15th with a simple and loving ceremony.

Because of the pandemic, Edith’s considerable extended family and Thetis friends and neighbours were asked to not attend.

Instead, the family is planning on a Celebration of Life Tea next year sometime when the pandemic restrictions are lifted.

Thank you for your kind thoughts and remembrances.

Jeannine

ThINC Trailwork

A big thanks to the ThINC Pod - supervisor, Charlotte Fesnoux, Aislinn, Lara, Connor and Alex - for all their hard work on the Kenwood end of the Community Trail.

They helped build 3 bridges, which make the trail easier to access.

What a great bunch to work with!

Current Weather Forecast

SYNOPSIS:

(Thursday) With a ridge well in place Thursday, all zones will be sunny except for Haida Gwaii where clouds ahead of the next system likely invade around daybreak. Warmer temperatures with interior valleys reaching the higher 20s, lower humidity, but mostly lighter winds.

OUTLOOK:

(Friday-Sunday) The developing ridge does not last long. By early Friday clouds and showers reach all the way down the coast and across to all the southern zones by late evening. On Saturday there will be a deepening upper low almost directly over the mainland coast, cloud cover will be patchy and basically unpredictable. Widespread showers will come and go, and temperatures will be lower. The next ridge pops up for Sunday and Skies clear again brining sunny warmer conditions.
