THETIS ECO SHARE SHOP COMING SOON

We are pleased to announce the creation of the Thetis Eco Share Shop coming soon.

What is the purpose of the Share Shop you might ask?
Very simply to reuse, usable household goods and to keep them out of the landfill, as well as to share them with our community. We are avid recyclers and have seen a need for this on Thetis Island.

This share shop has been built by us, on a moveable trailer. We are grateful for the help of many local people’s building material donations and hours of free work.

Keep checking your e-Spokes for more updates.

❄️ Swing Your Partner & Celebrate the Season! 🎻

There is nothing quite like the warmth of community on a cold winter night!

Join us at Pioneer Pacific for a festive evening of English Country and Family Folk dancing.

Get ready to kick up your heels, share some laughs, and make some beautiful Christmas memories in the Main Hall.

Whether you are a seasoned dancer or have two left feet, this night is for you!
Who is invited?
We welcome everyone from ages 1 to 101! A "caller" will teach every dance, so no experience and no partner are necessary—just bring your energy and a smile.

🕰️ The Plan:
5:45 PM: Doors Open – Come in from the cold, say hello, and get settled!
6:30 PM: The music starts and the dancing begins!

🍪 Treats & Eats:
Please join us after you have eaten dinner. We also invite you to bring your favorite Christmas cookies or snacks to share at our community table. It’s the perfect way to sweeten the breaks between sets!

The Details:
📍 Where: Pioneer Pacific Church Camp (Main Hall)
📅 When: Friday, December 19th
🎟️ Cost: By Donation. (All proceeds go directly to keeping us toasty by covering the cost of heating the Main Hall! 🔥)

Bring the whole family!
Friends of Pioneer Pacific

Harvest House / Thetis Island Food Pantry

Thanks for the very generous donation from the Saturday morning yoga group to Harvest House. Also, thanks to the generous islanders I bump into during the week and reach into their wallets or purses and make donations as well.

We are blessed to live on such a loving and caring island.

Thetis Cetacean Sightings Notifications (in case you missed it)

Want to know when orcas, humpback whales, or other cetaceans are around Thetis Island? We’ve had live details of three visits by orcas since we set this up less than a month ago, including a spectacular one on Friday. The more participants, the more eyes on the sea. How to join:

If you don’t already have the Signal app on your mobile, download it (https://signal.org/
), open it, and set it up. Allow notifications.

(Signal is a messaging app like WhatsApp, but non-profit, and not Meta/Facebook.)

Then, on the mobile where you now have the Signal app, click on this link to join the Thetis Cetacean Sightings group: https://tinyurl.com/thetiscetaceans.

Once you’re in, if you spot orcas, porpoises, or other whales around Thetis, send a message to the group saying where they are and where they’re headed. And look out for that info from others.

To protect everyone’s peace, no messages other than sharing real-time info about cetaceans around Thetis.

Happy whale-watching!
