The BAKE SALE PLUS Market members; Merci, Hortenza, Hermida, Kevin, Diane, and Erin would like to thank all the island people who supported them during the Saturday market at Dunfield Park.
Thank you for bringing friends and family who were visiting from off island and thanks to the marine travellers.
The vendors were honoured to have you taste and enjoy their wares and other market items. Because of your patronage, the BAKE SALE PLUS Market was truly a big success.

With Veronica’s work and contributions throughout the community, along with decades as editor of the Quarterly, we are creating a memorial edition of the Quarterly in her memory. This issue will be published in the early fall.
We are asking the Thetis Island community for submissions to the Memorial Issue. Send reminiscences, thanks, stories and memories of Veronica (up to 200 words) to info@forbeshall.ca
Photographs of Veronica through her many years on Thetis are also sought, digital prints 2 MB or higher. If you have a print photograph to share, we will scan and update it as possible, please get in touch.
Digital copies of the Memorial Issue will be made available to all e-Spokes recipients, through www.thetisposts.ca, www.forbeshall.ca, and to TICA members.
In addition, we will be asking, prior to printing, for print copy pre-orders; these copies will be free of charge. More information on these orders will be shared in September.
We thank you in advance for your sharing of memories, this special memorial issue of the Quarterly will be a very “Thetis Island” thanks to our long-serving editor, Veronica Shelford.

Friendly reminder:
Saturday, Sept. 13 will be the last Bake Sale Plus Market for the season. Come on down to Dunfield Park behind the Thetis Island Marina/Pub, store and post office between 10 and 2.
There will be, of course, pies, cookies, banana fritters, Nanaimo bars, cheesecake, egg rolls, Filipino based meals, sourdough bread, caramel corn, fresh fruit and vegetables. Native cedar art carvings, hot sauce, lotions and more.
Even though it is the last market of the season, think ahead;
Do you have company coming for a weekend, Thanksgiving, Christmas, get together of any sort? Are you anticipating being busy one week and might not be able to keep up the cooking and baking? Last minute gifts for any occasion (carvings, hot sauces or lotions, etc.)?
Visit the market, ask the vendor for their contact info. Perhaps you can arrange things with them, and you won't have to go several months without some of your favourite goodies or gifts.
Most of all, the Bake Sale Plus Market vendors would enjoy a chit chat since they may not see you till next season.
