4H Club
Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 10:27AM We are looking to start a community 4-H club here on the island for our children and youth.
For those who don't know, 4-H is a youth development program sponsored in part by the Ministry of Agriculture. Their motto is "learn by doing" and the '4-H' stands for their pledge:
- My HEAD to clearer thinking,
- My HEART to greater loyalty,
- My HANDS to larger service,
- My HEALTH to better living,
- For my Club, my Community and My Country.
Check out more details here https://www.bc4h.bc.ca/projects/clubs
We have completed the 4-H Leadership training and need at least six confirmed members to get started! You don’t need to have a farm to join, there are lots of opportunities for smaller projects and kids can lease animals as well. We will have an information session on Thursday March 1st. Please RSVP to hradmcclellan@gmail.com for details.

Yarn Wanted
Monday, February 26, 2018 at 12:33PM I am embarking on a craft project using yarn and am looking for any leftover strands or balls not being used.
Although I would prefer to work with wool I am open to using acrylic yarn as part of the experimental process and would appreciate anything to get started.
No piece is too short or colour too odd
I can come pick up at your convenience.
Thank you,
Tatiana

Package to UPS
Monday, February 26, 2018 at 12:32PM I have a package that I need to send via UPS and apparently the closest UPS store to us is in Victoria.
If anyone is going to Victoria some time next week and could drop-off my package at one of the UPS stores there I would be immensely grateful.
Thanks in advance,
Anaïs
