New Islander Needs Dentist—please suggest

I am in need of a dentist as soon as possible to pull a tooth.
I am new to the island and area and wonder if anyone knows of a good dentist. A bad toothache so as soon as possible would be great...

Thank you... text me @  250 202 6716.

Post Office LIMITED SERVICE

Regretfully, the post office will be operating at limited capacity Friday and Saturday.

One of our staff members is away due to illness and while the post office will be open, we are only able to give out parcels (if a ticket is presented) and/or check for General Delivery letter mail/tickets.

We may have more services available Friday afternoon, but recommend calling first to see if we can provide more comprehensive services. We will be open 10-5 with a brief break for lunch at 12:30pm.

We know that the holiday season is upon us and it is inconvenient to have interruptions, but please bear with us.

We will greet you with a smile and do our best to help you get your parcels/mail picked up and sent out with minimal delay!

Most sincerely,
Erin
Marina Manager

Forbes Hall Library

Each week there are scheduled times when a volunteer library attendant is on duty.

We look forward to having you join us, we’re there to answer questions, talk about ideas, and generally there to help you out, if needed.  On Sundays we offer tea and goodies – a happy place to meet for a chat with fellow island bibliophiles.

Hours:

Saturday 10:00 am until 1:00 pm

Sunday 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm

Monday 10:00 am until 1:00 pm

The library is always open after 10:00 am when there is a Community Activity at the hall and the entry door is open.  We have a simple honour system for signing out books and DVDs, instructions are at the sign out desk.  If you need help, ask the attendant on duty.  For returns when the building is closed, please use the drop box by the Courtside Entrance.

We hope you enjoy our lovely little island library.

Celine,
your volunteer librarian

Stamps for Cancer—Thank you! And for those who’d also like to contribute…

I would like to thank all of the thoughtful individuals who attended the Thetis Christmas Market and helped support the “used stamps” initiative for the BC Cancer Society.

In an effort to continue collecting these stamps, which help provide much needed funding for a truly worthy organisation, and to make it as convenient as possible for anyone wishing to donate their used stamps (any quantity / any country) I would ask that you simply put them in a plastic baggie or used envelope (with my name) and place them in the wooden box on the table at the mailbox enclosure when you go in to pick up your mail.

This location is one that is handy for everyone.

Thank you once again for all the donations to date and looking forward to another 5+ pounds delivery in the near future.

Warmest Regards:
Terry Harvey
