Looking for Door and Window for Shed

Hi, I’m looking to buy an exterior door with the frame and a window that opens. Something at least 3’x3’ ish.
Both are for a shed so doesn’t have to be fancy.

Thanks much

"Kids Don’t Float Program" Over for Summer

The TIVFD/RCM-SAR PFD Loaner program for kids (aka Kids Don’t Float Station) is finished for the summer and was once again a great success.

Those kids and parents using the beach area under the Community Dock, or just strolling down the dock to look at jellyfish and waves, were able to borrow life jackets for the little ones and make their outing much safer and less anxious.

We will have the loaner PFDs available once again next year.

Thanks to all who participated.

Sunday: Fire Danger Class Drops to High

The Fire Danger Class drops to HIGH on Sunday for this area. High Risk Activities such as chainsawing, mowing, chipping, milling etc. can restart in mornings but must cease by 1 pm and a two-hour fire watch posted.

Outdoor burning and solid fuel campfires are still banned by the Province until October 31st.

The long-range weather forecast is predicting a big change next weekend and we may be able to drop from HIGH to MODERATE then. But in the meantime, there is still not enough moisture in the forest fuels to slow down an ignition. Please continue to be fire safe.

Memorial Edition of the Quarterly – Veronica Shelford

With Veronica’s work and contributions throughout the community, along with decades as editor of the Quarterly, we are creating a memorial edition of the Quarterly in her memory. This issue will be published in the early fall.

We are asking the Thetis Island community for submissions to the Memorial Issue. Send reminiscences, thanks, stories and memories of Veronica (up to 200 words) to info@forbeshall.ca

Photographs of Veronica through her many years on Thetis are also sought, digital prints 2 MB or higher. If you have a print photograph to share, we will scan and update it as possible, please get in touch.

Digital copies of the Memorial Issue will be made available to all e-Spokes recipients, through www.thetisposts.ca, www.forbeshall.ca, and to TICA members.

In addition, we will be asking, prior to printing, for print copy pre-orders; these copies will be free of charge. More information on these orders will be shared in September.

We thank you in advance for your sharing of memories, this special memorial issue of the Quarterly will be a very “Thetis Island” thanks to our long-serving editor, Veronica Shelford.
