Post Office Box Number Changes - Update

To follow up yesterday’s e-Spokes #2 posting, as mentioned, please hold off on changing your address to the new one on the white label on your post box for the time being. We are attempting to find a better solution that just removes the hyphen. This should work for the majority of the boxes, and many people already use this system. Of course, there will need to be some box changes for the reason’s mentioned in yesterday’s e-Spokes, but we are hoping to limit them to only the ones absolutely necessary.
With that said, we do need to get a sense of how many people have already made that change to the new box numbers. Please email Michelle Black at michelleblack@hotmail.com, and let her know if this has already been done. If you have only just begun, it might be less time and work to change 1 or 2 back than do them all (let alone bump the person who now holds that box), so please just wait for the time being (but still let Michelle know). What we are looking at is the viability of just removing the hyphen, (ie: 14-8 to 148) and seeing where we are at right now and which situations we can troubleshoot around.
Again, please email Michelle at the above email address, if you have already started with the process of changing your address out there in the off-island world.
Thank you, Fred and, volunteer helper, Michelle
