Dear Friends & Neighbours,
As you know, new public health orders and guidelines have been put in place due to recent developments in the pandemic. At this time, out of an abundance of caution and care for the safety of our community, our students and our staff, we unfortunately need to close our property once again to drop-in visitors and short term guests, including Thetis-Islanders. We will miss your presence here and look forward to when we can invite you for a visit once again! We will keep you up to date and thank you for your understanding.

Hello, I’d like to post this on behalf of a friend:
"Does anybody have an old android phone they would be willing to part with?
Lost my phone to the ocean and I live on a boat and need it for communication. If you can help that would be amazing."

Can anyone help out with short term accommodation on Thetis for my parents

We heard this morning that there are still a lot of spaces left for the COVID clinic on January 11th. We know there are people who have been trying to book and been thwarted by the system glitches, or who have been told to wait, or that there isn't a clinic here or whatever.
Please keep trying, and tell us if you can't get in. We want everyone who lives here, stays here regularly, visits frequently and/or interacts with the community, to have the chance to get their first, second, or booster shots on the 11th. Please don't put off trying - we need to keep at this! And big thanks to those who have kept us informed of their progress or lack of it - it's been very helpful in getting a response from the VIHA system management.
The Cowichan Primary Care Network is launching a survey to better understand whether the healthcare needs and preferences of the people who live in the Cowichan Valley are being supported.
Your feedback will help us understand what's missing and how we might make it better. All your answers on the survey will remain confidential and anonymous.
We will be doing a draw for a gift basket in December and another one in early 2022.
If you have any questions about the survey, please do not hesitate to contact Deborah Rutman or Carol Hubberstey at: notabenegroup@shaw.ca.
Please find the link to the survey here: https://survey.alchemer-ca.com/s3/50135829/Patient-Experience-Survey-Online-version

If anyone is going to town tomorrow and can stop by Salish Sea Grocery, would you be willing to pick up a small packet of dog ear drops from vet Dr. Randle for me?
I can meet you at any ferry you are returning on, or you could put them in the drop box if you are going for your mail.
Sager the Labrador thanks you, as do I.
The "on screen" speaker this Sunday the 9th is Alistair Begg.
The topic is "Jesus, the same Yesterday, Today, and Forever" Hebrews 13:8.
10 AM at the Community Hall, all are welcome.

Another week, another big dump of snow!
We'll start out delivery day a bit later than usual, to give icy patches time to melt. Home drop offs will therefore be a bit later in the afternoon/early evening. Please leave out totes at the end of your driveway to receive orders. If your part of the road/island is very slushy or icy, please let us know ahead so we can make arrangements for safe delivery. Pick up of milk, eggs, bread and other farm goodies as usual on Saturday from 10-1. Road and driveway reports, pre-orders etc. please text or call 250.415.0101 With thanks, Farmers Noah, Finn & Elisabeth
