Pot of Gold Coffee Roasting Co. Invitation to visit

Many of you know that Pot of Gold is closed now.  All the roasted coffee is gone and we are retiring (yippee!) and will be putting the business up for sale.

We send a heartfelt thank you for your kind and generous support over all the years.  You have been wonderful to us.

During the pandemic we didn't allow visitors to the shop to keep our 'elves' safe.  But now that we aren't working anymore I thought some of you might like to see the place and the new 'smoke eating' machine before we start packing up.

To that end we will have an open house of sorts for anyone who would like to have a look next Saturday May 7th from 9 to 4.  If another time would work better for you just let me know.  If you haven't been here before, the POG building is behind the house at 73 Pilkey Point Road.

Also some of you may have an unused gift certificate, we will redeem them for you at face value.

Just a couple favours, that anyone who comes is vaccinated and wears a mask inside and no pets please.

Hope to see old friends and meet some new ones.

Thank you,
Nan

ISLANDS TRUST - Fireside chat with Trustees.

There has been a lot of information circulating from a group that call themselves the Southern Gulf Islands Coalition  and West Star Communications on behalf of the Concerned Island Residents Association recently as well as the Islands Trust 2050 events held here a few weeks back.

This all may be confusing and you may have questions or concerns, we would love to have the opportunity to hear from you and share what we know about what is going on at the Islands Trust.

Doug Fenton and I are holding a couple of informal sessions for conversation with you Saturday April 30th 3:00 to 5:00 and the same day  6:00 to 8:00 at Forbes Hall. This is a casual drop in opportunity, please join us if you can.

We are also happy to have chats by phone or in person at any time you can reach us by phone, text or email listed below. Hope to see you and be able to answer any questions you have.

Q Deadline Reminder

Just a reminder that the "deadline" for the summer issue of the Quarterly is May 7th.

Events or stories coming after that time, we'll need to at least know about and plan for.

Also, our ads are gradually depleting as time goes on, so if anyone has been considering advertising
in the Q, or knows of a business that would benefit from the exposure, please send it in to us.

It's not expensive - have a look at
https://www.thetisisland.net/ftp/Ad_rates_Quarterly.pdf

Thanks!
