• Work starts at 9:30, it’s okay to come a bit later.
• As a thank you to the volunteers, a light lunch will be served.
• Saturday’s Job List:
  Weeding and Trimming: lots of small areas to be worked on.
  Spreading new mulch on the garden beds
  Window Washing
• Other jobs both inside and outside, there is something for everyone!

Here’s an equipment list that may be helpful:
gloves, secateurs, shovels, trowels, watering cans
wheelbarrows (we have 1, and will need more for the bark mulch),
rakes, an extra weed eater and
appropriate safety gear including sun hats and sunscreen.

Septic Pump-out Service

I am looking to schedule a septic pump-out service.

If anyone else on the island requires this service, I would be interested in coordinating to share the travel cost of the truck.

Forbes Hall – Please Remember to Close Doors!

Over the past week we’ve had a few incidents of doors being left open, not just unlocked but wide open!

Beautiful weather has us enjoying doors and windows open, but when leaving the hall please make sure it is secure.

If you or someone in your activity opens a door for access or fresh air, check all are closed before leaving. You can even do a quick door tour when you’re the last person leaving the hall, just to check.

Thanks for keeping the hall busy and alive with activities and all the other things that happen there!

Temporary Road Obstruction (Saturday)

There will be a cement pour taking place on Saturday morning, just below the roadside parking on Sunrise Point, which is often used by those commuting to other islands or utilizing beach access.

We anticipate there will be a cement truck, completely blocking the road from traffic, (this may include periodic restriction of pedestrians), below the parking area, from 9AM until 11:00AM.

Looking to Borrow Grommet Hole Punch

I’m looking to borrow or use a grommet hole punch. I’m putting together a stack of laminated cards and would like to add grommets so they can be attached to a key ring and better protected from wear and the elements.
