Canadian Parks & Wilderness Society Presentation TODAY -- 12:30-1:00 pm

Members of CPAWS (Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society) will be joining us at Soups On today. They will be giving a short presentation/discussion at 12:30 to 1:00pm on what they do.

CPAWS-BC defends public lands and the ocean. They work with Indigenous, provincial and federal governments with the goal of creating large protected and interconnected areas: places that can nurse nature through climate change and shelter plants and animals forever.

CPAWS will be sponsoring a special dessert for attendees.

Winter Concert, Saturday, 14 December, 3pm at the Community Centre: All are Welcome

The concert will showcase our school students singing a variety of songs and present a few individual acts.

Several other community members will entertain us with musical interludes on the piano, and kalimba.

We'll watch some belly dance, listen to a soprano solo, and some poetry. There will be opportunity for the audience to sing along to seasonal favourites.

Light refreshments will be served after the hour-long concert.

Please join us to celebrate the season, our community, and friends.

P.S. A plate of finger foods to be shared during refreshments would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

Prescription & Reading Glasses

A small village clinic in Liberia would greatly appreciate any prescription or reading eyeglasses that you don’t need.

There will be a small box in front of the Firehall to collect your cast-off eyewear, and they will be taken to Liberia by someone who is returning to the village in the Spring.
